Choose from the charming boutiques, luxurious designer stores or Italy’s finest high-street stores. To find the best shopping streets, use this guide to the best shopping spots in Milan:
Designer Stores in ‘Quadrilatero d’Oro’

Just back from the menswear shows in Europe and feeling very inspired. I started in Florence for Pitti Uomo, made my way to Milan, and then on to Paris. I even managed a week of R&R in Greece, which left me feeling centered and ready for work again. It’s a good thing, too, because the videos I am about to present to you took blood, sweat, and tears to download! Needless to say, I’m not the most tech savvy blogger, but I am working on it. Men’s fashion week for Spring/Summer 2011 has just come to a close in Milan, and there’s nothing subtle about the takeaways so far. Styles and palettes alike have been bold, with outsider fashions and hard-to-wear pieces surfacing by the dozen. So, what are the most bizarre reoccurring themes? Take jeggings. Menswear has been kind to the leggings trend in the past (hence the previously coined term meggings, a hybrid of men and legging), and now it’s going a step further by embracing the skin-tight jeans that have been ubiquitous in …

There appear to be two new definitions of manhood surfacing at the spring/summer 2011 shows. The latter are typically clad in a combination of flannel, turn-of-the-century throwbacks like suspenders, and thick mustaches, which they like to get trimmed at one of the many old-school barber shops sprouting up by the dozen in cosmopolitan hubs like Los Angeles and New York. …

After the sun goes down, the makeup brushes come out in full force. Beauty junkies can get away with a lot when roaming New York’s Lower East Side: the bars are dark, the drinking is heavy, and people look good in that uncombed, rolled-out-of-bed way. Just Cavalli sent this LES bar-hopper down the S/S 2010 runway the other day in Milan. She looks exactly the girls we know who shop at Blue&Cream and Opening Ceremony, hang out at White Slab, Darkroom, and Gallery Bar, eat at Les Enfants Terribles, and …

At the New York Film Festival premiere of Broken Embraces:
● PENELOPE CRUZ – Favorite restaurant in New York? “Oh, I have many because I love food so much!” And in Madrid? “I go to many that are out in the countryside, but whoever goes there for the first time should go to Botin. It’s the oldest restaurant in the world.” What did you like about it? “Everything!”
● PEDRO ALMODOVAR – Favorite restaurant in New York? “Mr. Chow’s — we had dinner there the other day, and it was really very …
